Electric fire recommendation?

Asked by

My mum needs a safe fire . She needs something easy to use as she has dementia. Also no difficult knobs as she has weak wrists. I have asked the gas company to cap the gas fire as she has had trouble using it.

There are convection heaters that have timers on them. If they are well-positioned they should be reasonably safe. Have you thought about asking the fire brigade for and assessment and advice – I believe the service is free.

    Consult some other gas company.
