executors

Asked by

my mother-in-law has made will naming the son who looks after her most as executor ( he was executor for father-in-laws will). She has taken against him and has now appointment solicitor as executor. We are not happy about this as this solicitor did not do a great job with father in laws estate nothing wrong but just took ages, had to do everything ourselves and then sent a massive bill. Do we have to use him as executor when the time comes?

    Thanks mellow

Either way could be problematic, mother in law is reluctant to do anything we suggest and also the siblings don’t all get on.

I just don’t want to end up doing lots of work and then get moaned at by siblings as the legal bill is high (as they did before), probably a bit late to sort out for father in law
