I have been caring for my mum since my dad RIP 6years ago,

she has a borderline personality disorder, which makes caring difficult to say the least there is little support and family members can tire of the demands, the gp can be helpful but a 10 minute chat doesn’t help the rest the of the time, my mum is demanding and worrying alongside each of the those needs and trying to balance life work and family time isn’t easy…she has mental capacity to make her own decisions so I can be left feeling trapped by her behaviour, the consequences of that and the reality that this isn’t going to change anytime soon

Hi, are you still caring for your mum, i am looking to befriend someone who seems to be in same boat if interested

Good to know that you are caring for your mother and giving her your precious time. Taking care of the elderly can be very stressful at times because you need to help them with their personal needs besides taking care of the daily routine. If you are interested you can enroll your mother in a health insurance plan like BCBS Medigap ( https://www.thehealthexchangeagency.com/blue-cross-blue-shield-medicare-supplement/ ) especially for adult care offered by The Health Exchange Agency.
