Steady & Strong, Hampshire
Steady & Strong exercise classes are run by Hampshire County Council for people aged 65+. They aim to help people to gain strength and balance, and avoid falls. The movements are designed to help the elderly to remain living independently. They strengthen the muscles used for everyday actions such as getting out of the bath and walking up and down the stairs.
Each class lasts between 45 minutes and an hour. Classes are structured by a warm up, strengthening and balance exercises, some fitness and coordination exercises, followed by a cool down. Classes cost £5 or less, depending on location. They are available at 10 venues across Hampshire. Click on your local class for contact details and class times.

Move It or Lose It!, Hampshire
A network of exercise classes for older people serving thousands across the UK. The classes aim to bring local elderly people together in their communities to enjoy exercising, socialising and helping them stay fit for life in their own homes.
There are over 20 Move It or Lose It! classes across Hampshire. You can Find a Class by entering your elderly relatives postcode in the search bar. You can then see the contact details of the instructor, location and class times.
Classes cost no more than £5 and often the first class is free.
EXTEND Exercise, Hampshire
A charity hosting exercise classes for elderly and disabled people in the community or in social care facilities. EXTEND Exercise aim to promote health, increase mobility and independence, improve strength, co-ordination and balance and to counteract loneliness and isolation.
EXTEND Exercise classes always contain a section of seated exercise (a lot of active exercise can be performed whilst sitting in a chair). Standing exercises will be offered as well so there is something for everyone. The sessions typically last for one hour with an opportunity for tea/coffee and a chat during an interval or after class.
There are over 30 Extend Exercise classes in Hampshire county in Southampton, Petersfield, Totton, New Milton, Lymington and the surrounding villages.
