With Christmas here again we’ve selected some of the best Christmas markets in Hertfordshire. From artisan craft stalls to local produce from across the county, along with jingle bells, sleigh bells and Christmas lights, there’s something for everyone this year.
Harpenden Christmas Carnival, Harpenden
The Harpenden Christmas Carnival has become a wonderful symbol of the start of the festive season and includes music, entertainment, food and drinks, farmers market, young enterprise stalls, children’s activities, a procession, town Christmas lights switch-on and of course Santa!

Hertfordshire Christmas Shopping Fair, The Hertfordshire Showground
All your Christmas needs wrapped up at the Showground: festive stalls groaning with the perfect gifts and presents for all the family: activities for the kids, live music, food shows and so much more!

Knebworth Christmas Fair, Knebworth
Three days in the barns and marquees at Knebworth House, the region’s biggest festive shopping event. There will be gifts for everyone, festive food and drink, and activities for all ages.
Brand new for 2025, enjoy hand selected Christmas cabins, extra shopping marquees and seasonal food and drink, packed with almost 300 exhibitors.
Dates: 21 – 23 November 2025.
Tickets to be bought in advance. Adults £11, children 5-15 £5.50.
Bishop's Stortford Christmas Market
More than 100 stalls in the specially pedestrianised North St, Market Square, Potter St and South St. Twinkly lights, festive food and drink to enjoy while you browse for handmade gifts, a fantastic range of local produce from the farmer’s market, and Christmassy activities to keep the kids entertained. Santa will be popping in!

Hertford Castle Christmas Market, Hertford
Set in the beautiful grounds of Hertford Castle you will discover a winter wonderland with fantastic Christmas shopping opportunities. Find all your presents here, enjoy the food and drink on offer, and get into the festive spirit with the live music.

Redbourn Christmas Market, St. Alban's
The beautiful, historic village of Redbourn provides the perfect backdrop for its annual Christmas Market. With more than 100 stalls to choose from, you’re sure to find the perfect gifts, accompanied by live seasonal music.
