Day care centres offer a chance for older people to go out and socialise with other older people. All day care centres offer a range of stimulating activities for people to take part it, and some of them also provide helpful services such as hairdressing, nail-trimming, and assisted bathing.
Day care centres also offer the opportunity of a day’s respite for carers – especially in situations where you do not yet feel a care home is the best plan.
There are many day care centres across Kent. Age Space has compiled a guide to the available centres and what they have to offer.
