It’s definitely beginning to feel a lot like Christmas so here is a guide to the best Christmas markets in Kent in 2025. There are plenty of options from Santa’s grottos to food markets and music to enjoy. Most Kent Christmas markets start mid to late November and end on or before Christmas eve. In addition to those that are on over this period there are also some pop-up markets that appear on one off weekends.
Canterbury Christmas Market 2025
Plenty of festive fun to be had at this year’s Canterbury Christmas market. Santa Claus himself will be in residence from 29 November on selected dates! Festive music to accompany your wanderings around food, drink and gift stalls.
Dates: 12th November – 24th December 2025
Monday – Friday 10am – 6pm
Saturday 9am- 7pm
Sunday 10am – 5pm
Closing on Christmas Eve at 4pm.

Broadditch Authentic Christmas Market
Located near Gravesend, Broadditch Farm shop offers something a little different with more than 70 carefully chosen stalls presenting specialist food and drink, unique gifts, artwork, decorations and much more. You can enjoy hot food and hot (or cold) drinks while being entertained by local singers and there’ll even be an appearance by Farmer Christmas!

Folkstone Festive Marketplace
Put away the surfboards and beach towels and don your winter coats as you explore the Folkestone Festive Market on the harbour. Bigger than ever this year with more stalls, more live music, more gifts to choose from, and food and drink to get you in the festive mood. Free family films showing on the Big Screen, and live music and community events for all to enjoy.
Dates: Every weekend from 14 November – 24 December 2025
It will be open every Friday & Saturday, 11am – 7pm and every Sunday 11am – 6pm until 21st December. In the run up to the big day the Festive Marketplace will be open 11am – 6pm on the 22, 23 and 24 December.

Christmas at Chartwell
The Christmas season starts at Chartwell with the annual Christmas Market. Gift inspiration from an exciting selection of handmade crafts and local produce.
Dates: 20 November – 23 November 2025, 10am to 4pm.
The market is free to attend, but normal admission charges or National Trust membership applies if you would like to visit to the gardens, grounds, exhibition room and studio.
House is open from 12 – 3pm daily; trails and gardens open until 4pm.
National Trust property, no need to book. Parking for non-members £5 per car.
Rochester Christmas Market
Set in the beautiful and spectacular Rochester Castle gardens, the Rochester Christmas market has something for everyone. From finding that special gift to an array of stocking fillers. Accompanied by festive music, and food and drink.

Margate WI Christmas Fayre, Dreamland
The Margate WI Christmas Fayre returns to Dreamland offering a delightful festive shopping experience in the retro Roller Room. The event will showcase a vibrant mix of local makers, artists, and independent businesses selling unique gifts—from handmade jewellery to homewares and sweet treats. Expect plenty of seasonal cheer, surprises from community groups, and a tombola raising funds for the Free Books for Schools campaign.
