Lunch Clubs for the Elderly in Cambridgeshire

Lunch Clubs for the Elderly in Cambridgeshire

Baked Potato - Elderly lunch clubs in Cambridgeshire

Elderly Lunch Clubs are not just a chance to enjoy a hot, freshly-cooked meal but also offer a safe and welcoming place to pass the time with new friends, made from other members of the local community.

Lunch clubs are so popular because of the nutritional and social benefits, reducing loneliness and isolation in the elderly population.

Often lunch clubs charge a small fee, usually between £3 and £9. Sometimes they might require you to book in your elderly relative in advance, which you can do by ringing using the contact details provided. Transport is also sometimes provided, however if not, look into the Cambridgeshire Community Transport Schemes in your area.

It might be that your parent’s nearest lunch club is contained in one of the many Elderly Day Care Centres in Cambridgeshire – so it is always worth checking if this is the case! You could also look into some Cambridgeshire Meal Delivery Services.
