Lunch clubs provide elderly people with the opportunity to socialise with new and old friends over a regular, shared lunch. They offer a great reason to get out of the house, have a hot, nutritious meal and take away the tasks of cooking and washing up!

They are particularly beneficial for older people who are feeling lonely or at risk of becoming socially isolated.

Senior's Lunch Club at St. John's Church Hall

St. John’s run a regular and welcoming lunch club for seniors in the local area of Hythe. They offer a two course meal for just £5.00 per person – although you do have to book in advance.

Age Concern Health and Wellbeing Centres

Brendoncare Lunch Clubs

Brendoncare Community Clubs are part of the charity’s community support service for older people. Its community clubs offer older people a chance to socialise, make new friends and enjoy activities together such as pub quizzes, kurling, seated exercise, tai chi and line dancing. There is a monthly membership fee, which, for less than £3.50 a week, gives members unlimited access to Brendoncare’s network of in person clubs, online clubs, digital and telephone support. Free taster sessions are available at all Brendoncare’s clubs.

There is a £2.50 supplement on top of the membership fee. Advance booking is required for catering purposes.

Brendoncare also offer a wide range of social clubs across Hampshire as well as their lunch clubs that include a range of activities like Kurling and Cinema Clubs.
