The Hertfordshire Independent Living Service offers an Active Ageing service in collaboration with Hertfordshire County Council which provides personalised exercise support to Hertfordshire’s older residents. The service can include one-to-one sessions in an older person’s home, or local group activities. The service is for over-55s and completely free, other than some small fees for group sessions.

Move It or Lose It! Classes in Hertfordshire

Move It or Lose It! run sociable exercise classes for older people throughout the country, including in Hertfordshire. Move it or Lose it! classes are delivered by experts in seniors exercise and are targeted at improving flexibility, balance and strength. Most of their classes can be done either standing up or sitting down.

Walking Football for Over 50s, Hitchin
Walking Football classes are run from Kingshott School in Hitchin each Saturday from 11:00am to 12:00pm. These classes offer older people the chance to get active and get social in a great environment!
