Sussex Dial-A-Ride is a volunteer-based group that provides affordable transportation to people across the greater Sussex area. Services are dependable, courteous, safe, efficient, inclusive and respectful. In order to be eligible, members must require access to affordable and accessible transportation.

Please note: your relative must be able to walk on their own and get out of a vehicle themselves without assistance. Drivers are not trained to handle wheelchairs or transfer people in and out of the vehicles.

They will pick up clients within the greater Sussex area and take them to local destinations. You will need to get in touch to book a journey at least 48 hours in advance of the required service. From there, they will arrange a volunteer driver to come to your relative’s door, drive them to their destination and then back to the pick up location. If your relative requires an escort or carer with them, you must inform Sussex Dial-a-Ride of this when booking.
