Meal Delivery for the Elderly in Berkshire

Meal delivery Berkshire

In later life, the daily tasks of shopping, cooking and cleaning can become more difficult. Meal delivery takes away such stress and provides an easy way to access a regular hot and healthy meal. In turn, such services can allow the elderly to remain independent for longer. For more information, on elderly well being, please see our Age Space guide to Keeping Healthy in Old Age.

Meal delivery services are not the only way to access regular healthy meals. Day care centres in Berkshire and lunch clubs in Berkshire also provide a hot meal along with the chance to socialise and join in activities.

In some counties, the council run a meal delivery service for their elderly residents. However, in Berkshire this is not the case and instead councils recommend private meals on wheels services. In this article we have outlined the best options available in Berkshire, along with contact details to get started.
