The best people to review products built for the older generation are unsurprisingly… the older generation. That’s why we do our best to put products in the hands of those who they are designed for. Be it a personal alarm, a video calling device, companion technology, our elderly panel of reviewers try out products extensively before letting us know what they think.
Are you interested in being a part of our review panel? We'd love to hear from you! Email us at [email protected] and let us know:
- That you'd like to be a reviewer
- Your first name and age
- And anything about your situation you think might be relevant to the products you'd be able to review (e.g. a dementia diagnosis, living at home alone, afraid of falling - anything!)
Personal alarm reviews
Personal alarms are wearable bits of tech that enable the wearer to get help if they need it. As the technology has progressed you can now get a personal alarm that works anywhere (in or outside the home), knows when a fall has occurred, enables the wearer to talk to the responder directly, and knows it’s location. They have gotten really clever!
Video Calling device reviews
Video Calling devices exist to help keep family’s connected. While video calling technology is fairly accessible for most people (on our smart phones), the older generation sometimes doesn’t get along with that technology quite as well. Video calling devices are bespoke bits of tech that make video calling as easy as possible.
Companion technology
Many people have tried to help ease the loneliness epidemic in our elderly generation, highlighted by Covid. Sentai is the first that we have reviewed who with a mix of smart, AI conversation, managed reminders and motion sensor, it can provide conversation to your loved one and peace of mind for their wellbeing.
